Magnum Energy appoints new CFO, vice president of finance

Magnum Energy, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has appointed Shannon Matthyssen as its new CFO and vice president of finance.

Ms Matthyssen will replace Allan Thompson, who served as interim CFO. Ms Matthyssen brings over 22 years experience in the oil and gas industry, of which 16 years have been with public companies.

Most recently, Ms Matthyssen served as vice president of finance and CFO of Meridien Energy, until 2005, and over the past three years has served as a consultant for several private oil and gas companies.
