The well, located 10km north west of the Snohvit field in Barents Sea, was targeted two levels in the Snurrevad-Juksa prospect and the main objective was to prove the presense of hydrocarbons in Lower Creteceous/Upper Jurassic reservoirs.

Well 7120/6-3 S was drilled into a total depth of about 2,993m below sea level in a water depth of 330m using the semi-submersible drilling rig Transocean Arctic.

Preliminary data analysis indicates thin oil bearing sands in a 8m to 9m zone at the top of a 25m Lower Cretaceous sand sequence, however, there is no reservoir encountered in the Snurrevad target.

In the Juksa target, the company expects further geophysical and geological studies for more clarification on the project.

With 50% interest in the project, Lundin Norway operates the licence, while other partners Spring Energy Norway holds 30% share, Norwegian Energy Company holds 20% interest and own the remaining shares respectively.
