The well, which is located around 35km south of the Edvard Grieg Field and 46km southwest of the Johan Sverdrup Field, will target the Biotitt prospect.

The goal of the project is to demonstrate the presence of hydrocarbons in Jurassic sandstone reservoirs.

The drilling, which will be performed using drilling rig Bredford Dolphin, will run for around 35 days and will be carried out until the total depth reaches 2,760m below mean sea level.

The company expects the Biotitt prospect to have 124 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBoe.)
