Tucson Electric Power Company, Phelps Dodge Energy Services, and a development subsidiary of PNM Resources have chosen Fluor to finish work at the 570-megawatt, combined cycle power plant, which was 50% complete when construction was stopped by the original owner in 2002. Under terms of the contract, Fluor will provide engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.

Construction began this month, and employees in Fluor’s Houston office are working towards a projected completion date of summer 2006.
