India’s Delhi government is to convert the coal-fired Indraprastha power plant to run on LNG.
The 247 MW facility is eventually expected to produce 1 GW with the first 350 MW unit expected to be installed within three or four years at an estimated cost of Rs 1,300 crore ($325 million).
The state government has reportedly initiated talks with GAIL for the supply of gas to the power plant.
