Libya has already signed another three similar agreements with France, Russia and Ukraine, since July 2007.
Libya, OPEC member, is also the African continent’s third largest oil producer after Nigeria and Angola, the nation produces nearly two million barrels of crude oil per day. Libya expects to increase production to three million barrels per day by 2013.
