The Evr-Green Level 1 portable cord set allows the charging of EV from any standard outlet. The new line also includes a receptacle for EV owners to plug in their Level 1 cord set.

Leviton’s Level 2 residential charging stations range from 16Amp to 32Amp charging levels. The Level 1 and 2 EVSEs come with a standard NEMA 5-20 receptacle and SAE J1772 connector, respectively.

The ChargePoint networked charging stations, which will be accessible to all drivers using any standards-based RFID card, will provide information on the charging status by SMS text or email notification, location of unoccupied charging stations via smart phones and include authenticated access and smart grid integration for utility load management with future V2G capabilities.

The EV charging stations will also allow station owners to set charging session access pricing via a web enabled user interface, thereby helping the utilities manage grid load and consolidate billing.

Mike Mattei, vice president and general manager of commercial and industrial division at Leviton, said: “Leviton now has a complete solution for home and public EV charging, providing the charging stations as well as installation by certified contractors and extensive customer service.

“We are pleased to partner with Coulomb as it aligns with our intent to create a growing portfolio of green solutions and helps bring an established technology and network to our existing customer base.”
