The team began the installation of the 30x N131/3000 turbines, which have a hub height of 144 meters, last year, and carried out a safe, professional job, accomplishing 413 days on site without a single LTI.
“This is the latest project with Nordex, strengthening our successful relationship,” said Antonius Wannet, Project Manager for GWS Benelux. “I am pleased with the whole installation team for their great and safe job.”
The Kivivaara and Peuravaara wind farm is located in the eastern part of Finland, close to the Russian border. The site is challenging as it is surrounded by forest and hills, causing turbulent winds. On top of this, the temperature is often close to freezing.
Once in full operation, the 30 turbines will produce 90 MW of clean energy per year.
