India-based technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing company, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has won power transmission and distribution contracts from Punjab State Power and Power Grid Corporation of India.
The new orders are worth INR10.97bn ($201.5m).
L&T’s Power Transmission and Distribution business will execute the new orders.
Under its first order from the Punjab State Power, the company will carry out the R-APDRP (Part B) Project on turnkey basis at Amritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana city in Punjab.
The scope of work includes building 66/11kV and 33/11kV grid substations, 11kV distribution lines, distribution transformer centers, underground cabling, package substations, installation of ring main units and static energy meters.
L&T won the second order from Power Grid for the construction of a 400kV pooling station at Tuticorin in the state of Tamil Nadu.
