India-based engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) joint venture (JV) company Larsen Toubro Arabia has secured a contract from Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) to build gas processing facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Aramco’s Midyan gas processing project is being developed to gather gas from the fields, process, and supply the treated gas to a power plant, which is situated about 90km from the field.

Under the contract, the company will set up gas processing facilities to process the gas produced from the Midyan gas fields in Saudi Arabia and lay more than 90km of gas and condensate product pipelines.

The gas processing facilities will be constructed with a 75 million standard cubic feet per day of gas and 4,500 barrels per day of condensate capacity.

As part of the contract, L&T Arabia will also provide project management, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, fabrication, manufacturing, inspection, and transportation.

The company will also provide construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning assistance, including performance testing services.

The project is expected to be completed in 37 months.
