The company has negotiated a contract for 1,500m drilling, and is awaiting approval to commence the program.

Lakeland Resources said that it is fully funded to carry out the planned drilling, and will start the program based on winter ground conditions.

The Gibbons Creek and Star properties are said to feature a multi-staged, structural lineament that transects the project from north-northwest to south-southwest, immediately west of the Star Uplift and continues to south where it transects uranium mineralization and uranium boulder field.

Lakeland identified drill targets at the Gibbons Creek as part of 2013 exploration that revealed high-grade boulders of around 4.28% U3O8. The program included a land-based RadonEX survey, a boulder prospecting survey and a DC-Resistivity survey.

Comprised five contiguous claims covering 12,771 hectares, the Gibbons Creek property is located adjacent to the Black Lake project, jointly held by Uracan Resources and UEX. It is said to be shallow up to 250m increasing the economics of exploration.

Star property is highly prospective for uranium, gold, platinum group elements and rare earth minerals. From 2005 to 2008, Star Minerals completed exploration, including modern geophysics and drilling on the project.
