The charging station is the first of many that LAcarGUY will be installing at its dealerships throughout Los Angeles including Lexus Santa Monica and Fisker Santa Monica, which will be live soon.
The new EV charging station, which will be open to the entire community, will offer Level 2 SAE J-1772, the new industry standard for electric chargers, and will be able to recharge any a plug-in or hybrid vehicle manufactured in 2010 and beyond.
LAcarGuy president Mike Sullivan said that LAcarGuy is proud to be the first US automotive dealership to offer the only industry-approved electric charging stations on the market.
“This is yet another step for us to support the community with sustainable options. It’s our commitment to ensuring that our daily driving habits contribute to a healthier planet,” Sullivan said.
