The power generating system consists of 972 Kyocera 215-watt solar modules capable of withstanding strong trade winds that the island experiences.

Electricity produced by the system will offset approximately 81t of CO2 emissions per annum.

The funding for the project was provided by the Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance that seeks to reduce carbon emissions.

Installation of the power plant was completed in partnership with Marubeni Corporation and Wakachiku Construction.
