The company is expected to sign the requisite implementation agreement soon. Sepco Electric Power Construction Corporation will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the expansion.
KSK Energy said that it will invest around INR162 billion in the expansion project.
The company also revealed that it has entered in to a short-term power purchase agreement with the Wardha Power Company, which operates 540MW Warora power project in Maharashtra, to supply power during monsoon and non-monsoon periods.
Currently, the company is setting up a 1,800MW coal-based power plant in the country.
