According to Kosmos, the latest move will enable it to make the Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and operations of the company.

The move is also part of the company’s proposal to maintain and enhance a transparent framework for organizing and developing strategies related to corporate responsibility.

The UN Global Compact is meant for businesses that align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

It also includes a transparency and accountability mechanism called Communication on Progress (COP).

The corporate responsibility initiative has over 8,000 corporate participants and other stakeholders from over 135 countries.
