The company has recovered around 3,454kg of kimberlite from 21 holes drilled at the Northwest Lobe of the Kelvin kimberlite.

The kimberlite has been divided into 15 batches, each weighing around 220kg, for processing purposes.

Kennady has extracted 154 commercial size diamonds from 1,527kg of kimberlite that belongs to the first seven batches, as part of the Kelvin 2013 summer drill program.

The company has extracted about 154 commercial size diamonds from around 1,000kg, as part of the Kelvin 2013 winter drill programme, from sixteen different drill holes across the approximate 1km strike of the Kelvin kimberlite.

Kennady Diamonds CEO Patrick Evans said the 2013 winter drill program returned an exceptional Kelvin sample grade of 8.13 carats per tonne, which included an extraordinary 2.48 carat diamond.

"Adjusting for the impact of the 2.48 carat diamond, there is a remarkable similarity between the 2013 winter sample grade and the sample grade of the first seven batches recovered from the 2013 summer program," Evans added.
