The fully permitted generating facility is located in the TVA service area in Benton County near Ashland and is connected to the TVA grid.
The transaction is subject to various closing conditions and required regulatory approvals, the companies said.
Goldman, Sachs & Co served as exclusive financial advisor to Kelson for this transaction, while White & Case served as Kelson’s transactional counsel.
TVA said the facility has been a source of purchased power for the company since it opened in 2003 and Kelson has owned the facility since 2005.
Kelson is a power producer engaged in the business of owning and operating electric generating facilities.
