Clean energy developer Kedco has concluded an agreement for the development of three wind farms, with an aggregate capacity of 30MW, in North West of Ireland.

The co-development agreement with private landowners was concluded by Kedco’s subsidiary, Reforce Energy.

Kedco CEO Gerry Madden remarked that Ireland had some of the best wind energy resources on the continent, thereby, making it a very attractive destination for investment.

"The addition of the three projects complements Kedco’s existing pipeline and the Company is currently considering similar opportunities which will further establish a balanced portfolio of projects across various renewable technologies," added Madden.

Kedco is expected to fund all of the pre-construction development costs for the project in exchange of a 50% stake.

The company’s wind power portfolio now totals 125MW capacity and includes the 25MW Londonderry project.
