North East Transmission, a joint venture company formed between IL&FS, ONGC, and government of Tripura, has awarded KEC International two orders for the supply of hardware, line materials, towers, and construction of transmission lines to be completed by February 2010. The orders are associated with a 726.60MW gas-fired power plants at Pallantana in Tripura.

Of the two orders bagged from West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company, one is for the construction of turnkey based 400 s/C KV transmission lines associated with Kolaghat TPS. The project duration is 24 months. The second order is for the construction of 58.50 kms transmission lines with a duration period of 18 months.
