The 3.25MW solar plant used nearly 21,000 panels manufactured by Trina Solar.

The facility will generate about 3,920,000kWh of solar electricity per year and is designed to supply 100% of the electric power needs for the United Stationers’ warehouse site.

The solar facility was installed by KDC Solar and SunDurance Energy, which is engaged in infrastructure development, engineering and construction, power, water, environmental remediation, homeland security and renewable energy.

United Stationers Engineering vice president Bill Stark said with the help of the solar power plant, United Stationers will be able to reduce its carbon footprint through the production of clean electricity, increasing its environmental stewardship in the local community and the state of New Jersey.
