The plant generated more than 350,000MWh of electricity since beginning of its in-service testing in late July 2010.
The testing is subject to confirmation by regulatory staff at the Kansas Corporation Commission and the Missouri Public Service Commission.
KCP&L said that in-service criteria were used to evaluate the plant in a variety of operational areas, and were agreed upon pursuant to the company’s Comprehensive Energy Plan, which was approved by the Kansas and Missouri commissions in 2005.
