This contract award follows Anadarko’s recent natural gas discovery in the Offshore Area 1 of the Rovuma Basin offshore Mozambique.
According to KBR, the pre-FEED study is designed to help Anadarko further assess the viability of developing an LNG facility to process and export natural gas from the region.
KBR Gas Monetization business unit president Mitch Dauzat said that the company will deliver a reliable study in the early stages of this important LNG development.
