The two nations also intend to cooperate in preventing illegal transportation of nuclear materials, strengthening nuclear material export control systems, and observing the international guarantees of physical security.
“Our experts discussed different questions and have come to an agreement. The USA and Kazakhstan have expressed intention to not only expand the existing cooperation between the countries in such spheres as oil and gas and nuclear energy, but are also ready to expand cooperation in such areas as alternative energy sources and electric power,” First Vice Minister of Energy USA, Daniel Poneman, informed.
