Ukraine-based NEC Ukrenergo has awarded a contract worth INR 8.25bn ($1.26bn) for the construction of 750kv, 353km transmission lines.
The contract is funded by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and is slated to be complete in 24 months time.
Tanzania-based Millenium Challenge Account has awarded a contract worth INR420m ($64.37m) for the construction of 132 kv transmission line of 41 km to connect Zanzibar Interconnector.
Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission has given a contract worth INR4.57bn ($700m) for construction of 400 kv Babhaleshwar to Kudos DCQ 200 km line and 400 kv D/C Padge to Tarapur DC line of 4km.
