This is the fourth of the seven development wells of the Phase-III drilling campaign in the Kharsang field.

The company is drilling the well with a primary objective of appraising the shallow C-50 and D-00 oil reservoir sands together with a secondary objective of appraising the G-00, G-60 and H-00 oil sand layers.

According to Jubilant, KPL-H will be deviated by about 274m to the west from the existing plinth of well KSG#22 and will be drilled to a target depth of about 1,010m true vertical depth.

The Kharsang field is operated by GeoEnpro Petroleum, a joint venture of GeoPetrol and Jubilant Enpro.

Jubilant holds a 25% stake in the block through its subsidiary Jubilant Energy (Kharsang), and its project partners are Oil India and GeoPetrol.
