Singh was quoted by The Times of India as saying that the 1,320MW power stations will be constructed at Patratu, Tenughat , Garhwa and Dumka.
Construction work will start soon with planned completion in the next three years, Prasad added, noting that the state government started taking measures to renovate and improve the existing power station in the state.
The government has also requested Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for help in power supply to the state electricity board so that the industrial development can be taken up in right earnest, according to Prasad.
Meanwhile the state is also set to take delivery of 5,000 power transformers of various capacities for replacement of damaged transformers in various parts within 15 days, Prasad noted.
