In addition, the parties are planning to hold a bilateral seminar on fuel cycle regulation, radioactive materials transport and medical treatment using radiation sources.
They also agreed to establish a new interagency agreement on future cooperation.
The two Tianwan units began commercial operation in 2007; a general contract for construction of units 3&4 was signed in 2010; construction began on unit 3 in December 2012 and unit 4 in September 2013; commercial operation is expected in 2018.
