The solar modules will power China’s National Wind/PV/Energy Storage and Transmission Joint Demonstration Project, which is being developed by SGCC in Zhangbei County, Hebei Province.
These installations, totaling 60MW, are part of the second phase of the project, which covers around 200km2 with total investment around RMB12bn ($1.9bn).
The project will integrate wind and solar power generation as well as power storage and smart grid technology.
Module delivery is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2013.
JinkoSolar chairman Xiande Li said that the company is very glad to cooperate with the SGCC on this project and to provide JinkoSolar’s high-efficiency solar PV modules to the project.
"We look forward to cooperating with SGCC with more upcoming projects in the future," Li added.
