China-based solar product manufacturer JinkoSolar has agreed to supply solar PV modules, with a capacity of around 23MW to Swinerton Builders and Clenera.

As per the agreed terms, Swinerton will use 300W 72 cells high-efficiency PV modules in its construction of the Westland Solar Farms, a ground-mounted solar plant in Fresno County, California.

When completed, the clean electricity generated at the utility scale solar power project will be sold to PG&E.

The deliveries of the solar modules is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Swinerton Renewable Energy Division manager George Hershman said that the company is excited to be working with the Westlands Solar Farm ownership and its leading technology partner, including JinkoSolar.

"Having recently completed a similar 20MW single axis tracker project in PG&E territory, Swinerton looks forward to delivering another successful solar project in the Central Valley," added Hershman.
