The agreement was signed between Kuwait National Nuclear Energy Committee and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Platts reported citing a Japanese government official.
The agreement is effective for five years and it can be extended if both the countries agree.
As per the deal signed between the two countries, Japan will help Kuwait for the development of its nuclear power generation program.
Kuwait anticipates to develop its nuclear power generation program by around
2020-2021 as it wants to keep its hydrocarbon resources for export amid
anticipated growth in its power demand with its growing economy.
