Jacobs Engineering Group has secured a contract with India-based Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to provide engineering and procurement assistance services for Jamnagar refinery in India.

The $6bn Jamnagar refining and petrochemical complex located in the Indian state of Gujarat has an installed capacity of 668,000 barrels per day and consists of 50 units that process crude oil to produce various petrochemical products.

Under the contract, Jacobs will provide engineering and procurement assistance services to RIL for the construction of offsites and utilities facilities for a cracker complex at the refinery.

Jacobs Engineering Group vice president Allyn Taylor said the company will work with RIL to support the important project.

"This latest award further reinforces our long term commitment to Reliance and the value we can deliver through our integrated teamwork," Taylor added.

Jacobs Engineering Group, a US-based technical, professional, and construction services provider, will execute the latest contract from its offices in Mumbai, India.
