The three proposed solar power plants will be located in Xingtai City’s Lincheng, Neiqiu and Xingtai counties.
JA Solar has secured approval for the Phase I of the 50MW solar project in Lincheng county from the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and is expected to receive development rights for the projects in Neiqiu and Xingtai counties by the end of 2013.
Commenting on the projects, JA Solar chief executive officer Jin Baofang said that the projects are a major step forward as the company looks to increase the role project development plays in its overall revenue mix.
JA Solar noted that it has gained expertise in engineering, procurement and construction through the execution of solar projects, totaling 100 MW in past three years.
