Situated in the Economic Development District of Xingtai city, the plant has the annual capacity to produce 1.5 GW of modules comprising either 60 or 72 of JA Solar’s PERCIUM cells.
The fully-automated assembly lines installed at the site have the capacity to manufacture both regular and double-glass modules.
All of the facility’s stringers have been equipped with artificial intelligence to switch soldering configurations between four and five busbars of cell contact patterns.
The annual production per capita is estimated to be 2MW. All the functional sections including module assembly, test and measurement, stockrooms, and warehouse have been placed under one roof, making the facility energy efficient.
JA Solar CEO and executive chairman of the board Baofang Jin said: "The grand opening of our fully automated module manufacturing facility in Xingtai marks JA Solar taking one step forward in terms of intelligent manufacturing.
"We will keep focusing on technological innovation as well as continue to improve the performance of our products to meet our customers’ demand for high quality products."
JA Solar’s products are deployed in residential and commercial projects as well as in terrestrial photovoltaic power stations.
