Both the companies have together identified and begun development of two sites in New Jersey for solar-integrated ground source programs.

IX Energy will jointly own SIGS systems developed under the agreement, and other non-integrated solar technology solutions in addition to geothermal ground source. In addition, IX Energy will be the exclusive solar provider for all projects that Aurora Energy and IX Energy co-develop.

Integrated solar and ground source energy provides a compelling and economically attractive energy solution to end users, increasing the return-on-investment and accelerating the payback period, said Steve Hoffmann, CEO of IX Energy. Combining two renewable technology solutions provides a truly sustainable, environmental and site specific resource.

Aurora Energy Venture’s president, Robert Miller, added, This partnership with IX Energy is a productive fit for Aurora Energy Venture’s, providing us with a strong partner with solar expertise, while expanding our potential client base to include governmental agencies and additional commercial customers.
