ITT Corp consortium has secured a contract to provide two water pumping stations for Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam's (SSNNL) Kutch Branch Canal (KBC) lift irrigation project in India.

Combined, the two water pumping stations will have the capacity to pump 196 million liters daily.

The company said its Flygt vertical column discharge pump sets are at the heart of the system.

The order also calls for complete pump house equipment including electrical, mechanical and instrumentation.

ITT, in a consortium with Megha Engineering & Infrastructures, will execute the lift irrigation project.

The contract, which is valued at $74m, is slated to be completed by end of next year.

Upon completion, SSNNL’s KBC lift irrigation project is expected to bring water to 279,000 acres of land within 182 villages in the Kutch District.
