Under the contract, Itron will deliver a minimum of 1.2m residential gas meters, 200,000 residential curb meters and 50,000 light commercial meters as well as 500,000 regulators and 105,000 curb regulators.
SoCalGas will install about 1.5m Itron gas meters and over 600,000 gas regulators as a part of its advanced metering project in the state.
The installation of these meters is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2012.
