The company has also engaged AMEC Environment & Infrastructure to provide geotechnical infrastructure engineering services for the feasibility study.
The feasibility study is anticipated to be completed by the first half of 2013 and, if the results are favourable, will be followed by a detailed design effort, ITH said.
ITH president and CEO Jim Komadina said that the selection of both Samuel Engineering and AMEC to perform the feasibility study is an important step forward in the advancement of the development plan for the Livengood project.
"The results of the feasibility study should provide us with the necessary information to make additional project development decisions. We are confident that the study results will support the compelling data we have collected to date," Komadina said.
