A consortium between Construtora Norberto Odebrecht (CNO) and Alstom has completed the delivery of Brazil’s 465MW Itapebi plant some three months sooner than planned.

While CNO led the consortium and oversaw civil and assembly work, Alstom supplied three 155MW turbines, generators, hydromechanical equipment, substation, transmission lines, control systems, electrical and mechanical auxiliary systems to the plant located on Jequitinhonha river in Brazil’s Bahia region.

The companies, which were awarded the US$223M contract by Itapebi Geração de Energia, completed the delivery in 40 months.
