The project to be constructed in La Victoria, 15km from Santo Domingo will cost an estimated $150m.
The company signed a power purchase agreement with the Government of the Dominican Republic, to sell energy produced at the solar farm.
Isofoton’s new power plant will have a peak power output of 50.6MW and will generate 74,532.61MW/hour per year of clean energy.
Energy generated by the solar facility will meet the power needs of about 58,411 households in the region.
The plant will help reduce carbon emissions of 44,014.16 per annum.
