It will be eight months before the government of Nigeria will be able to restore power to some areas following a series of failures in March and recent rainstorms, reports Africa News.
Faced with such a crisis, the government has given the go-ahead to independent power producers to enter the country to develop projects under the emergency power supply rules. Some 37 companies have already been invited to develop power projects from 49 MWe to 2260 MWe
