The MDMS project is part of IPL’s Advanced Demand Side Management Initiative, which is subject to approval by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. IPL is one of a number of utilities participating in the $3.4bn Smart Grid Investment Grant program recently announced by President Barack Obama.
Ecologic MDMS will support IPL in further enhancing energy information for approximately 470,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Indianapolis and the surrounding counties spanning more than 528 square miles of Central Indiana.

The Ecologic MDMS is a central repository and connection point converging the many available streams of information with business processes, customers and infrastructure across the IPL enterprise.
