“We started the SPM yesterday. We offloaded one VLCC (very large crude carrier),” a IOC spokesman said.

IOC source said the facility had recommenced with one of the SPM’s two links operating

“There were two flexible connections. What we have done is we have isolated the leaking connection and we have started SPM with one connection,” the company official, who did not wish to be identified, told Reuters.

IOC spokesman said because of the shutdown the company had diverted two Suezmax cargoes to Vizag to offload crude to smaller vessels, which then took the crude to its Haldia refinery in eastern India.
