Bosnia's MIMS investment group is to invest BAM4.5M (US$3M) in the construction and operation of four small hydroelectric power plants in eastern Bosnia under a 30-year concession deal with the local authorities in the Bosnian-Podrinje canton.

The plants will be built along the Praca river in Pale-Praca municipality. MIMS will pay the cantonal government 4% of revenues from the plants during their first ten years of operation, 7% during years 11-20, and 10% during years 21-30.

The Bosnian-Podrinje canton is one of 10 cantons forming Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation, which is one of the two autonomous regions of Bosnia. The other region is the Serb Republic.
