The company, in a strategic alliance with Wipro Arabia, will provide an integrated InFusion enterprise control system solution encompassing total supply chain management; refinery planning and scheduling; operations management, including health, safety and environment management; quality control and assurance; and performance control and management.
Invensys will also provide data validation and reconciliation, mass energy balance, utilities optimization, electronic logbooks and control performance solutions to help SATORP achieve operational excellence.
Wipro Arabia is a joint venture between Wipro and Dar Al Riyadh, and SATORP is a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Total France.
SATROP is constructing a refinery with a capacity of 400,000 barrel-per-day in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, which is expected to commence operations before the end of 2013.
The refinery will produce diesel, jet fuel and gasoline, as well as petrochemicals like paraxylene, aromatic benzene and propylene.
The integrated refinery information system will manage the new refinery’s supply chain, planning and scheduling functions, as well as oversee its operations management, performance management and business process optimization functions.
