Situated around 80 miles southwest of Chicago at Invenergy’s Grand Ridge Energy Center, the project offers fast-response regulation service to the PJM market.
The energy center features a 210MW wind farm, a 20MW solar project; and a 1.5MW energy storage unit.

Apart from the Grand Ridge project, Invenergy plans to start operations this year at the 31.5 MW Beech Ridge energy storage project in West Virginia.
Both the projects will feature BYD America’s containerized energy storage system.
Invenergy has over 100MW of energy storage projects in operation, in construction or under development in the US.
The company and its affiliated firms have developed in excess of 9GW of projects that are in operation, in construction, or under contract.
