The property in Mohave County consists of five unpatented lode mining claims totaling about 100 acres acquired through a lease agreement with La Cuesta International in April 2010.
International Star said it has also located 18 unpatented lode claims in the area surrounding the Van Deemen Mine, which have been staked and recorded with the US Bureau of Land Management and the Mohave County Recorder.
According to the company, the Van Deemen area represents an advanced project supported by historical data indicating a substantial gold resource.
International Star is engaged in the acquisition and exploration of precious and base metals mineral properties.
