In addition, Intelagrid provides ecoNet, a open, secure broadband platform that will enable Concord to realize additional operational and environmental benefits in the future.
As a provider of electricity to about 16,000 consumers in a service territory of 25 square miles, CMLP is a leader in environmental excellence, energy efficiency and enabling technologies. In 2003, CMLP unveiled a green power option that allowed their customers to purchase energy blocks of hydropower. Energy efficiency programs are the fastest, most cost-effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat global climate change.
“We consider this implementation the first step in providing our customers with the right tools and information to make smart energy decisions,” added Dan Sack, Director of Utilities. “Everyone wants to do something about energy savings, and with Intelagrid’s help we have the tools to make a real difference.”
“The Town of Concord is a forward-thinking utility provider,” said Costa Apostolakis, founder and CEO of Intelagrid. “Intelagrid is pleased to work with CMLP as it launches this very important energy initiative.
