Concord would primarily focus on using Intelagrid’s technology to support load management, advanced metering and customer portal applications. In addition, the company provides ecoNet, an open, secure broadband platform that would enable Concord to realize additional operational and environmental benefits in the future.

According to the agreement, the company’s scope of work includes providing network infrastructure, network devices, operating software and a variety of services in support of Concord’s efforts.

Dan Sack, director of Utilities, said: “We consider this implementation the first step in providing our customers with the right tools and information to make smart energy decisions. Everyone wants to do something about energy savings, and with Intelagrid’s help we have the tools to make a real difference.”
