The distribution business, Key Electric Supply, provides wiring, lighting, electrical distribution, power control and generators for residential and commercial applications.
IES president and CEO Michael Caliel said that as the company continues to assess its operations and focus on its electrical and communications businesses, it concluded that this was a constructive opportunity to divest another non-core business.
"Our strategy is to strengthen our core portfolio of electrical and communications businesses that are critical to the future success of the company," Caliel said.
IES is a provider of electrical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial and residential markets.
