The company said it will attempt to save and reduce electricity consumption during this winter season starting from December 2012 to March 2013, by using in-house power generation at all of its facilities, where power is supplied by Tokyo Electric Power, Tohoku Electric Power and Chubu Electric Power.
At its operation sites, the firm will reduce outsourced electricity supply by using in-house power generation of Koshijihara plant.
In addition, Inpex said it will use excess capacity of in-house power generation of both Koshijihara plant and Koshijihara electric generation station to supply electricity to the grid.
The company also noted that it has been enlightning employees on the significance of electricity saving by informing them of the electricity consumption at Inpex’s operation sites and offices.
